Casa Emilie centra sus servicios de tutoría extraescolar, apoyo a tareas; clases de programación, inglés, guitarra entre otras actividades educativas y excursiones a espacios culturales como museos, sitios arqueológicos entre otros, también se ofrece asesoramiento médico y psicológico, alimentación y apoyo continuo a la familia. 

A generous donation in 2022 from Dr. Herbert Steiner of Berkeley, California, allowed the Centro de Esperanza to have a satellite center in Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán. This space is called Emilie House in honor of Dr. Steiner's late wife, Emilie.

“She wanted to help the children of Oaxaca,” he said. "I am only fulfilling her wishes... Fifty years ago, my wife visited Oaxaca for the first time and fell in love with its people, its culture and its way of life. Deep friendships developed and she returned frequently to experience the beauty of the region and the warmth of the people. At the same time, she saw a lot of abject poverty... and decided to try to help expand the educational opportunities of the poor children of the region, and thus offer them a better future.
