Welcome to a unique experience that combines knowledge, hope, and the delicious culinary culture of Oaxaca! This special tour, "The Children's Route of Hope and a Delicious Memelada," will immerse you in the heart of the altruistic work of the Centro de Esperanza Infantil.
The Route:
Casa Jodi - Downtown Oaxaca:
We'll begin at Casa Jodi, located in downtown Oaxaca. Here, the staff will welcome you and guide you on a tour of the house, explaining the roles of each person and detailing how support is provided to the children. Discover how Casa Jodi is a place of hope and growth for the little ones.
Visiting the Neighborhoods:
We will board a private vehicle accompanied by staff from the Centro de Esperanza Infantil and head to one or two neighborhoods where some of the children benefiting from the program live. This part of the tour will allow you to gain a firsthand understanding of the living conditions and realities of the communities that our center supports.
Casa Emilie - Municipality of Xoxocotlán:
We will arrive at Casa Emilie, the second location of the Center of Hope in the municipality of Xoxocotlán. Here, some beneficiaries will share their testimonies, explaining how the Centro de Esperanza Infantil has positively impacted their lives. It will be a moving opportunity to hear real stories of resilience and hope.
Memelas Oaxaqueñas Workshop:
Get ready for an unforgettable culinary experience! Together with the moms and students, you'll learn to make authentic Oaxacan memelas. This traditional dish will be prepared with love and local expertise. After the preparation, everyone will enjoy a memela tasting.
This tour will not only give you a deep insight into the positive impact of the Centro de Esperanza Infantil on the lives of the children, but will also immerse you in the authentic culinary culture of Oaxaca.
